Education for a Child with
Special Needs
Few affordable services are available to Egyptian children
with disabilities. The "Menara (Lighthouse) Special
Needs School" in Menouf organized day classes for children with
Autism, Down's Syndrome, or developmental problems, who would
otherwise be kept at home and remain deprived of the stimulation
and specialized training they need. A new branch is being
set up in Sadat City. Help "Menara School" to continue to
be a true lighthouse and meet the educational requirements of
these special children.

Seaside
Holidays for Underprivileged Children
Poor children in Egypt never go on vacation. Therefore, community centers in Menouf, Ain
Shams, and Medinat al Salam offer children a holiday of a week
to ten days at summer camp on Egypt's North Coast, where they can
swim and enjoy the beach. For most of these children this will
be the first and perhaps the only time they get to experience the
sea! Your gift will give a child a unique summer holiday.

15) Give a Refugee a Future
through Higher Education
Every year, the Episcopal Church's Refugee Ministry in
Alexandria selects a number of young adult Sudanese refugees
with great potential to study communications or computer science
at an Institute of Higher Education. Such an education
will give them the opportunity to secure a good job and raise
their families out of poverty - hope for a better life.
Your gift covers all school fees and transportation costs for a
month.
