During the Christmas and Easter seasons, food baskets with small
monetary gifts inside are distributed to poor families in the Maasara
and Helwan area just south of Maadi. The meat in these baskets may
be the only
meat these families get to eat all year. Your gift covers the

Health Care in Ras el Suda
In Ras el Suda, a suburb of Alexandria, most inhabitants live
below the poverty line and struggle to survive. Health
problems are rife: fevers, skin diseases, eye infections, respiratory
tract problems, etc. Most of these are easily treatable, but
medical services are scarce. Therefore, the local community center
has opened a new clinic to offer basic health care.
Your donation will pay for one consultation plus medication.

General Healthcare and Medication for a Refugee
There are more than 25,000 registered refugees in the Cairo
metropolitan area who need basic healthcare and
medication. For a nominal fee to the patients, "Refuge-Egypt"
administers
approximately 5000 health consultations a year, including family
planning, TB treatment, pre-natal checks, and
women’s health care. Your gift covers the actual cost of treatment and medicine offered to
patients during one visit to the refugee health center.
