To help destitute refugees struggling to provide for their most basic needs.  "Refuge Egypt" distributes monthly food packages containing rice, beans, lentils, milk powder, oil, and sugar to pregnant refugee women, refugees suffering from TB, and some 30 very poor refugee families.  Your gift covers the cost of one food package for a needy refugee.

It is not easy for refugee mothers to take proper care of their newborn babies.  Therefore, "Refuge Egypt" gives new mothers baby bags containing basic baby supplies such as underwear, clothes, diapers, a bath towel, cotton, and soap. Your gift covers the cost of one complete baby kit.

3) Literacy Classes for Egyptian Women

Many Egyptian women are unable to read or sign official documents.  They also cannot help their children with school work.  This increases the social vulnerability of both the mother and the children. In the poor outskirts of Cairo and Alexandria, community development centers offer  women free literacy classes.  Your gift will give an Egyptian woman the opportunity to learn how to read and write and thus empower herself and her family.
